Sheridon Davies qualified in the 1960s with a Diploma and a Post Graduate Diploma in Art and Design from Liverpool and Birmingham Colleges of Art. Sheridon recalls his time in Liverpool with particular affection: “The City felt like the epicenter of the creative world at that time with a reputation of discovering and nurturing great talent in the arts and of course popular music."
From the late 60s to the present day, Davies has worked as a professional artist and graphic designer in the fields of advertising, national newspaper and magazine illustration, where he spent a decade as a sports illustrator for a British TV channel and publishing company. Today he prefers to devote more of his time to exploring the car as an interface between human emotions acted out on canvas. “From your very first day to the end of your life, wherever you are on this planet, it is inevitable your life has been touched in some way by the car."

An associate member of the Guild of Motoring Artists, Sheridon Davies’ work appears in private and corporate collections and can been seen on a regular basis at the Goodwood Festival of Speed and the Donington Park Collection in England.

“My paintings are intended as an homage to the power and the glory of historic racing cars and to those who created machines of such great beauty and presence, and as a lasting testament to the drivers whose skill and courage breathed life into the cars. Each painting sets out to capture the individual lines, every curve and swoop of handbeaten panels, and the way sunlight reflects off paintwork and polished metal straight into your soul."
