Our Henry 'Tim' Birkin Art Collection celebrates the drives of this acclaimed racing driver with limited edition prints and original paintings from top motoring artists. Rare original race posters often feature in our collections as we source them for enthusiasts, investors and collectors . Sir Henry 'Tim' Birkin was born in 1896 in Nottingham to a wealthy family and was famously known as one of the 'Bentley Boys' competing in three litre Bentley, four and a half litre Bentley and stripped down Bentley Blower no.1 in his racing career with his spotted silk scarf. He raced at Le Mans and in the 1928 French Grand Prix, winning at le Mans twice (once with Alfa Romeo in 1931 after Bentley withdrew from track racing). He died in 1933 aged 36 reportedly from malaria.
